Those little details not only look cool, but they help with anti-counterfeit measures. It's also a good way to check for aftermarket parts. In 10 years' time, I wonder how many makers of those tail light assemblies will put in that detail? Could be helpful if you wanted to know if the car was in a crash or not.

I'm pretty sure they'll trademark that if they haven't already. So it'll be OEM or direct shipped Chines pieces bought on EBay.

Could this be a good replacement for a Patriot? I know somebody who selling hers and planning on getting the Cherokee. I feel this one may suit her needs a bit better.

Patriot is a rugged Compass, same size. They will both be replaced by a single model, soon. Renegade is smallish.
